The site provides the international chess community with high quality chess photos and chess news of chess players from international chess events. There will be visual reports and an album with chess photo collections showing all the visual aspects of the chess world.01.08.2006 The Dutch Open Championship 2006 (9 rounds Swiss, first prize 2250 euro) has attracted 86 participants including 10 GMs: Sergey Tiviakov 2668, Friso Nijboer 2598, David Baramidze 2591, Vyacheslav Ikonnikov 2587, Sergey Erenburg 2585, Erik Van Den Doel 2577, Mikheil Mchedlishvili 2561, Alon Greenfeld 2551, Shilong Li 2540 and Dibyendu Barua 2453. Round 6 was played on Monday 31 July. Playing against Friso Nijboer, Sergey Tiviakov lost dramatically in won position when –in unnoticed check- he made an illegal queen move and was forced to play a legal queen move at the cost of her majesty. Friso Nijboer is now the only player with a perfect score 6 out 6, followed by Alon Greenfeld and Mikheil Mchedlishvili on 5 points. Report with photos of round 6.
