ChessVista.com is the website of chess photographer Frits Agterdenbos. The site provides the international chess community with high quality chess photos and chess news of chess players from international chess events. There will be visual reports and an album with chess photo collections showing all the visual aspects of the chess world.25.10.2006 The city of Hoogeveen (Netherlands) is celebrating its 10th edition of the Essent Chess Tournament which takes place 20-28 October. The Crown Group, a four player double Round-Robin with Veselin Topalov, Judit Polgar, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov and Ivan Sokolov, started 22 October. Halfway the tournament we find an exhausted Topalov at the bottom of the table with only half a point after losing to Mamedyarov (round 1) and Polgar (round 2). 1-2 Mamedyarov, Polgar 2.5 points (out of 3), 3-4 Sokolov, Topalov 0.5 points. Topalov fans do believe the former world champion is warming up for a 3/3 finish.
