ChessVista.com is the website of chess photographer Frits Agterdenbos. The site provides the international chess community with high quality chess photos and chess news of chess players from international chess events. There will be visual reports and an album with chess photo collections showing all the visual aspects of the chess world.26.10.2006 The 10th Essent Chess Tournament takes place 20-28 October in Hoogeveen (Netherlands). Just like last year there are several competitions: a Crown Group, a strong Essent Open (first prize EUR 3000), an Amateur Tournament, a pub tournament and an event for youth. The Essent Open has attracted 17 GMs including Mikhail Gurevich, Ivan Cheparinov, Evgeny Postny, Erwin L’Ami, Vyacheslav Ikonnikov, Michail Brodsky, Semen Dvoirys, Alexander Goloshchapov, Jan Werle, Rasul Ibrahimov, Ian Rogers, Jan Smeets, John Van Der Wiel, Vlastimil Hort and 13 IMs. After round 6 Brodsky, Goloshchapov and Rogers top the ranking with 5.0 points, followed by a group of 6 players (including Gurevich and Cheparinov) on 4.5 points.
