Corus Chess 2007 Round 2
14.01.2007 Round 2 was played on Sunday 14 January 01.30 PM. In group A the Big Three all won their games: Kramnik defeated Shirov, Topalov defeated Van Wely and Anand defeated Motylev. Only one game was drawn: Radjabov versus Karjakin. 7 Players are on 1.5 points. In Group B all games were drawn. Bu, Bologan, Smeets and Eljanov are on 1.5 points. In Group C Nadezhda Kosintseva lost her birthday game against Wouter Spoelman. Nepomniachtchi won his second game in a row. The Dutch squadron (14 players) scored minus 2: 0.0/2 in A + 2.5/5 in B + 3.5/7 in C = 6.0/14. Tomorrow 15 January Jan Werle (1984) will turn 23.
