Corus Chess 2007 Rest Day 2
22.01.2007 Today Monday 22 January is the second rest day for the players in groups A, B & C. The agenda announces two playing days on Tuesday and Wednesday, one more rest day on Thursday 25 January, followed by the final three rounds. Sunday 28 January the event will end with the traditional big pea soup eating party. Today Round 4 of the nine-round events is being played. Players of all levels participate in groups 1A, 1B, 2A, … , 9C. The winners of 1A and 1B will be invited to Corus Chess 2008 group C. In tomorrow’s round 9 Topalov (group A), Vachier-Lagrave (group B) and Nepomniachtchi (group C) will be defending their leading positions.
