ChessVista.com is the website of chess photographer Frits Agterdenbos. The site provides the international chess community with high quality chess photos and chess news of chess players from international chess events. There will be visual reports and an album with chess photo collections showing all the visual aspects of the chess world.
08.02.2007 The French Premier League - Top 16 2007 is to start on 9 February on four different locations: Marseille, Vandoeuvre, Châlons-en-Champagne and Metz. The competition format holds a
Première phase and a
Seconde phase. In the
Première phase (Preliminaries) the 16 teams are divided over 2 pools (
Poule A and
Poule B) of 8 teams each playing 7 rounds. In the
Seconde phase (Finals) the best 4 of
Poule A (Pool A) and the best 4 of
Poule B (Pool B) go to
Poule Haute (Pool High). The other 8 teams go to
Poule Bas (Pool Low). In the
Seconde phase, which takes 4 rounds, the teams play the 4 teams they haven’t played in the
Première phase. Number 1 of
Poule Haute is champion of France. Numbers 1 and 2 of
Poule Haute go to the European Club Cup 2007, 6-14 October in Kemer, Turkey. Numbers 5, 6, 7 and 8 of
Poule Bas will be relegated to the
Nationale I (Second Division).
