Predrag Nikolic wins Daniël Noteboom Tournament
19.02.2007 The 67th Daniël Noteboom Tournament (16-18 February 2007) in Leiden (Netherlands) was won by Predrag Nikolic. In the Final round he made a draw versus Friso Nijboer to finish on 5.5/6. Friso Nijboer, Patrick Driessens, Erik Van Den Doel and Jan Smeets followed on 5.0 points. The tournament attracted 143 participants (including 6 GMs and 5 IMs) in the main group plus 153 participants in the second group (Elo < 1900). The Daniël Noteboom Tournament is a weekend tournament, 48 hours from Friday night till Sunday afternoon, 6 rounds Swiss 40 moves / 105 minutes + 15 minutes to finish the game.
