Corus Chess 2008 Rest Day 1
16.01.2008 Today Wednesday 16 January is the first rest day. The players in groups A, B & C are taking a break. There are two more rest days to come: Monday 21 January and Thursday 24 January. So the schedule is: 4 games, rest, 4 games, rest, 2 games, rest, 3 games. Tomorrow round 5 will be played. Aronian and Carlsen (A), Harikrishna, Smeets and Bacrot (B) and Braun (C) will be defending their leading positions. The Honorary Group, a double round-robin, with Viktor Kortchnoi, Jan Timman, Ljubomir Ljubojevic and Lajos Portisch will start Saturday 19 January with R(ound)1.
