Corus Chess 2008 Round 7
19.01.2008 Round 7 was played on Saturday 19 January. In Group A there were two decisive games. Aronian defeated Radjabov and Anand defeated Polgar. Carlsen leads with 5.0 points, followed by Kramnik and Aronian with 4.5 points. In Group B there were three decisive games. Movsesian (vs Stellwagen), Hou (vs Smeets) and Koneru (vs Krasenkow) were the happy ones. Movsesian and Bacrot lead with 5.0 points, followed by four players with 4.0 points. In Group C there were four decisive games. Grivas defeated Braun, Caruana defeated Carlsson, Negi defeated Krush and Ushenina defeated Van Der Werf. Caruana and Braun lead with 5.0 points. The Honorary Group started today with wins for Kortchnoi (vs Portisch) and Timman (vs Ljubojevic).
