The site provides the international chess community with high quality chess photos and chess news of chess players from international chess events. There will be visual reports and an album with chess photo collections showing all the visual aspects of the chess world.03.04.2008 The Dutch Chess Championship 2008 Round 2 took place 3 April. Friso Nijboer took the sole lead with 2.0 points by defeating Jan Smeets. Sergei Tiviakov (who defeated Manuel Bosboom) and Yge Visser (who drew against Erwin L’Ami) share the second place with 1.5 points. Five players follow with 1.0 point: Daniël Stellwagen, Erwin L’Ami, Sipke Ernst, Dimitri Reinderman and Jan-Willem De Jong. Jan Smeets, Ruud Janssen, Manuel Bosboom and Daan Brandenburg are on 0.5 points. So far the 12 players did have Studio 2 for their own, but this will change soon. The women championship starts Friday. A strong open, the Intomart GfK Open, will start Saturday.
