Dutch Championship 2008, R5 + Women R3
06.04.2008 The Dutch Chess Championship 2008 Round 5 took place Sunday 6 April. Friso Nijboer, who was leading so far, lost surprisingly to Ruud Janssen. Yge Visser defeated Manuel Bosboom taking sole lead with 3.5 points. He is followed by seven players with 3.0 points: Sergei Tiviakov (draw versus Daan Brandenburg), Daniël Stellwagen, Erwin L’Ami, Jan Smeets (who defeated Jan-Willem De Jong), Sipke Ernst, Friso Nijboer and Dimitri Reinderman. In the women championship round 3 was scheduled. Bianca Muhren took sole lead (3.0/3 points) by defeating Anne Haast. Second with 2.5 points is Zhaoqin Peng, who drew against Laura Bensdorp.
