ChessVista.com is the website of chess photographer Frits Agterdenbos. The site provides the international chess community with high quality chess photos and chess news of chess players from international chess events. There will be visual reports and an album with chess photo collections showing all the visual aspects of the chess world.11.04.2008 An interesting side event of the Dutch Chess Championships was a non-chess event. The Dutch former world champion (1972-1973) of international draughts, Ton Sijbrands (1949) competed against 5 opponents in a draughts blind simul. The event took place on Friday 11 April in Hilversum Media Park, Studio 2. Sijbrands scored 100% doing the job in a bit more than 3 hours. Ton Sijbrands is world record holder draughts blind simul. In October 2007 he set the record at 25 opponents, scoring 92% in 28 hours and 23 minutes. The Dutch draughts player Erno Prosman will try to beat the record on 4 July 2008 (info www.duwodamfestival.nl).
