In group B Dutch champion Anish Giri took sole lead (4.0 points) by defeating Emil Sutovsky. He is followed by David Howell (3.5 points) who defeated Hua Ni. Hua Ni, Arkadij Naiditsch, Parimarjan Negi, Pentala Harikrishna and Erwin l'Ami are on 3.0 points. In group C Ray Robson is sole leader (4.5 points) after defeating Zhaoqin Peng.
