Matthew Sadler wins Nova College 2010
04.07.2010 GM Matthew Sadler has won the ROC Nova College Weekend Tournament 2010 which took place 2-4 July 2010 in Haarlem, Netherlands. The 2010 edition of the tournament attracted 120 participants (2009: 151, 2008: 126, 2007: 160) including 7 GMs and 3 IMs. GM Matthew Sadler scored 5.0/6 in Group A (elo>1950, 32 participants). He was followed by GM Martyn Kravtsiv, IM Chiel Van Oosterom and GM Maxim Turov on 4.5 points. GM Erik Van Den Doel, GM Robin Swinkels and Hebert Perez Garcia finished on 4.0 points. GM Zhaoqin Peng and GM Stewart Haslinger, among others, scored 3.5 points. Group B (elo<2000, 62 participants) was won by Pim Heijne, and Group C (elo<1650, 26 participants) was won by Michael Bekker (6.0/6). The tournament was organised by chess club HWP Haarlem.
