There will be visual reports and an album with chess photo collections showing all the visual aspects of the chess world.13.01.2012 The opening ceremony of Tata Steel Chess 2012 took place on Friday 13 January in the Chess Pavilion in Wijk aan Zee. Dr Karl-Ulrich Köhler, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Steel Europe, officially opened the tournament in the Chess Pavilion (commentary hall) in Wijk aan Zee. Tournament director Jeroen Van Den Berg performed the drawing of lots.
