Five players are on 1.5 points and five players are on 1.0 point. Sergey Karjakin defeated Anish Giri. Group B: Pentala Harikrishna leads Group B with 3.0 points after defeating Harika Dronavalli. Second is Erwin L’Ami who is on 2.5 points after a win against Daniele Vocaturo. Third is Sergey Tiviakov (2.0 points) after beating Vladimir Potkin with black. Six players including first lady Kateryna Lahno are on 1.5 points. Senior GM Jan Timman defeated junior GM Illya Nyzhnyk. Group C: Maxim Turov leads with maximum score 3.0 points.
