ChessVista.com is the website of chess photographer Frits Agterdenbos. The site provides the international chess community with high quality chess photos and chess news of chess players from international chess events. There will be visual reports and an album with chess photo collections showing all the visual aspects of the chess world.
20.01.2012 Round 6 of Tata Steel Chess 2012 took place on Friday 20 January.
Group A: Four wins reshuffled the landscape in the main group. Levon Aronian is sole leader (with 4.5 points) after a win versus Vugar Gashimov. Magnus Carlsen couldn't keep up with the winning speed of the Armenian and made a draw against David Navara. The Norwegian world number one shares second place (4.0 points) with Teimour Radjabov who defeated Sergey Karjakin. Fabiano Caruana, Anish Giri (win versus Gata Kamsky), Vassily Ivanchuk and Hikaru Nakamura (win versus Boris Gelfand) share third place.
Group B: Pentala Harikrishna defeated Jan Timman and stays in first spot with 5.0 points. Alexander Motylev is second with 4.0 points. Lazaro Bruzon and Erwin L’Ami share third place with 3.5 points.
