04.06.2006 Round 12 was played on Saturday 3 June 03.00 p.m. In the Men’s section the main results were France – Armenia 2-2 (all games draw), Czech Republic – China 1-3 (Zhang P and Wang won) and Russia – Cuba 3-1 (no draws, Kramnik won). Ukraine lost to Netherlands 1,5-2,5. Armenia is going for gold with 34,0 points. Second is China on 31,5 and Russia is back at the top on third place with 31,0 points. France and Hungary with 30,5 will try to win bronze.
Bacrot, Carlsen, Kramnik and Wang Yue are doing excellent with a performance rating above 2800 so far.

In the Women’s section the main results were Ukraine – India 2,5-0,5 (Zhukova and Lahno won), Russia – France 1,5-1,5 (all games draw) and USA – China 1,5-1,5. Ukraine with 28,0 points will win gold. Second is Russia with 26,0 points and clear third is China with 25,0 points. USA is fourth on 23,0 points.
Tatiana Kosintseva and Zhao Xue are on a performance rating above 2600. Hou Yifan is on track with 2575.

There is one final round to go. The players will have to get up early since Round 13 will start at 10.00 a.m.
